Privacy
Short version: there is no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising and no cookies on HostelPeti. The few things the site remembers stay in your own browser, and you can clear them below.
What your browser stores
When you tick checklist items, add your own items, pick a situation on the home page or type into the budget worksheet, the site saves that in your browser’s local storage so it is still there next time. It is not sent to us, it does not sync between devices, and other people using other browsers cannot see it. If your browser blocks storage, the site still works; it just will not remember.

Downloads (the checklist text file and the budget CSV) are created in your browser and saved straight to your device. Nothing is uploaded.
What is not on this site
- No analytics or visitor tracking scripts.
- No advertising and no advertising cookies.
- No cookies of any kind set by this site.
- No fonts, scripts or images loaded from other companies’ servers.
If that ever changes, this page will be updated at the same time as the change.
Server logs
Once the site is hosted, the web server keeps standard access logs, as most web servers do: your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser’s user-agent string. They are used to keep the site running and secure.
Links to other sites
Shop links open Amazon.in, and source links open government and other websites. Those are separate sites with their own privacy policies; what you do there is covered by their policies, not this one. Our Amazon links currently carry no affiliate tracking tag.
